Umeå, Sweden, 30 March 2021 - Codemill has announced that its pro video tool, Accurate.Video Validate is now available in AWS Marketplace. Validate is run on Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) and includes API integration with a number of the AWS Media Services for seamless quality management of video content using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Accurate.Video Validate enables broadcast, VOD and OTT content operations teams to frame-accurately Quality Check (QC) high-quality video, with multiple discrete audio channels and subtitles, as well as verify time-based metadata, using a standard web browser.
With Validate, users can verify the quality of the video during production, as well as the associated metadata, audio, subtitles, and any other related attributes. Users can create frame accurate manual markers and visualise them in a browser-based timeline. Multiple video versions, audio tracks, and subtitles can be played in sync to enable verification across multiple versions.
Accurate.Video Validate features API integration with Amazon Rekognition to automate some of those verification processes. Amazon Rekognition is a service that makes it easy to add powerful visual analysis to your applications.
Using Validate with Amazon Rekognition allows image and video analysis, including the detection of faces, celebrities, objects, human sentiment, on-screen text, shot changes, black and colour bar detection, and end credit detection. This makes it possible for users of Validate to automatically identify objects or scenes that need to be removed or to detect suitable places for a shot change.
Rickard Lönneborg, CEO, Codemill, commented: “Our main goal is to make our software available as quickly and easily as possible, giving operators and technicians access to the most intuitive, cloud-native QC and validation tools for video, audio, subtitles and metadata. API integration between Validate and Amazon Rekognition greatly reduces manual processes during validation, helping to reduce errors and increase efficiency for our users.”
API integration with AWS Elemental MediaConvert also allows users to easily transcode video content from within Accurate.Video, and prepare it for distribution to multiple platforms. MediaConvert is a file-based video processing service that formats and compresses offline content for delivery to televisions or connected devices.
